Natalie Carr
In her studies with Prof. Callus, Natalie has further expanded her playing because of Callus’s helpful teaching techniques and ability to target her needs directly. Prof. Callus helps her students find the best ways to perform based on their ability and style.
Natalie Carr began studying viola at the age of fourteen after studying violin for seven years. In June 2005, she graduated from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts in Los Angeles, California. She has performed with the Pomona College Orchestra, LACHSA Orchestra, and the Glendora Youth Symphony Orchestra. During the summers she coaches for the Southern California Conservatory for the Arts Orchestra. In December 2004, she began studying with Helen Callus after studying with Kira Blumeburg for two years. This year Natalie is studying viola as an UCSB Extension student and hopes to become a full time undergraduate music major next fall. She also plans to continue viola on as a Graduate student one day.
